This is a professional staff position, funded entirely by grants, with effort allocated among one or more training and technical assistance projects administered by the Justice Programs Office of the School of Public Affairs. This position plans, coordinates and monitors the provision of technical assistance, training and research services and participates in both on-site and office-based technical assistance to state and local units of government for the U.S. Department of Justice and other sponsored justice system projects the JPO undertakes.      
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in justice administration or related field or equivalent in education, training, or experience. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in a position entailing federal, state, or local justice system operations and/or policy
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks concurrently and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent research and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and with relational database software
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience working in U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored programs is desired
