The Center for Diversity & Inclusion’s Communications and Outreach Assistant will handle the management of publicity and marketing, website, Center email and newsletters. Additionally, the Communications and Outreach Assistant will oversee social media plan and campaigns via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others; design and implement marketing campaigns for programs and events; be responsible for video management (including video creation skills, filming, and motion graphics and editing); and represent the Center on campus committees and meetings.      

The Center seeks someone interested in enhancing the experience of all students, understanding the campus climate, and collaborating with campus partners and administrative offices. Successful candidates should acknowledge and address multi-layered topics of identity.    
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, various social media platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Publisher, Excel, and Power Point), CMS/website development software and other publishing software
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience managing social media for an organization
  • Experience working with college students and on a campus environment
Additional Information:
This position begins on August 1, 2017 will end in May 2018 with the potential for extension, and is for 25-28 hours per week.
