Description:
The Assistant Director of Operations for Facilities and Vendor Services is responsible for the management and supervision of all residence hall and department operated facilities as well as the day-to-day oversight of vendor programs for residence hall students. Additionally, the Assistant Director coordinates the Residence Maintenance Crew program as well as residence hall maintenance, renovation and new construction including all general residence hall furnishings and equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate vendor/supplier contact and product/service information, including costs, warranties, and service agreements. The Assistant Director coordinates the contracting of external vendors who provide services to on and off-campus facilities and students including laundry, rental programs, etc.  This individual works closely with several university departments external vendors and is responsible for maintaining appropriate contracts and relationships.

The Assistant Director of Operations for Facilities and Vendor Services is also responsible for the supervision of two full time employees, the Facilities Coordinator and the Vendor Services Coordinator. The Assistant Director is a member of the departmental management team and provides project support to the Director of Operations and Administration.
Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree is required.

Minimum Requirements:
The incumbent must have 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a professional office setting or the equivalent in experience or training. Qualified candidates should have a demonstrated combination of facilities management, training and public relations, customer service, administrative operations as well as excellent skills in oral and written communication.
Preferred Requirements:
Familiarity with spreadsheet, word processing, and database application is desirable. Experience with C-Cure, Envision, and/or Colleague are preferred.
